Neuroanatomy is the foundation of all neuroscience. Yet, the application of neuroanatomical
knowledge in everyday clinical or scientific practice can be difficult. The brain courses at the
University of Munich
aim at illustrating and teaching anatomical issues as viewed from various
Speakers of distinction from anatomy, pathology, neuropathology, neuroradiology, neurology,
neuropsychology and neurosurgery will share their knowledge in background lectures. Central focus
of the course are the dissections of brain specimens, conducted in small groups of five
participants under the supervision of one experienced tutor. The hands-on dissection groups are
completed through demonstrations of microscopic and macroscopic pathological specimens.
The Munich Brain Course will be held at the centrally located
Institute of Anatomy
at LMU Munich.
Due to limitations in space we recommend early registration.
